Privacy Policy

What we collect when you visit trianglemarketingclub.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Last updated August 23, 2026

The short version

Triangle Marketing Club is a community organization, not a data business. We collect the minimum needed to run this website, answer the messages you send us, and email you the updates you ask for. We don't sell your information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't buy contact lists.

Information you give us

We only collect what you type into a form. Three forms on this site collect information:

  • Contact form — first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message.
  • Get Involved form — your name, email address, and the answers you write about how you'd like to take part.
  • Newsletter signup — your email address, and nothing else.

Submissions are stored in our content management system, which is hosted on our behalf by Tiger Technologies, and are emailed to Triangle Marketing Club organizers so we can respond. We keep them as long as they're useful for staying in touch, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Information collected automatically

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful — how many visits a page gets, roughly where visitors are located, which site referred them, and what kind of device they're on. It sets cookies in your browser to do this. We use it to decide what to write and build next, not to identify individuals.

You can opt out across every site that uses it with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures how quickly this site actually loads for real visitors rather than in a test — how long the main image takes to appear, whether the page jumps around while it loads, and how long the server took to respond. Alongside that it records the page you viewed, the site that referred you, your country, and the kind of device and browser you used.

Unlike Google Analytics above, it sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and Cloudflare does not use it to build a profile of you or to recognize you on other websites. We use it to find the pages that are slow for real people and fix them. Cloudflare's handling of that data is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes real people from automated spam without making you solve a puzzle. It runs invisibly in the background — there is usually nothing for you to click.

To do this, Turnstile collects client-side signals including your IP address, TLS fingerprint, user-agent string, and the site key for this website. Cloudflare's handling of that data is described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which supplements the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Hosting and delivery

This website is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses and request details in order to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. Our content management system and email are hosted by Tiger Technologies.

Embedded video

Podcast episodes are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless you actually play a video. Once you press play, YouTube's own terms apply — see the Google Privacy Policy.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your personal information.
  • We don't share it with advertisers, and we don't run advertising on this site.
  • We don't add people to our newsletter unless they signed up for it.
  • We don't use your form submissions for anything except replying to you and, where you asked for it, sending updates.

Email you receive from us

If you sign up for updates, you'll get occasional email about podcast episodes, meetups, and club news. Every one of those includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Replies to a message you sent us are not marketing email and don't require a subscription.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form and tell us what you'd like — we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we'll honor those requests regardless of whether they legally apply to us.

Children

This site is intended for marketing professionals and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or the services we use, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the site.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or about information we hold, go to the contact form. We're a volunteer-run club, so give us a few days.
